AICA Congress Call for Papers23/03/2013
The XLVI AICA International Congress in Košice / Bratislava, 24 – 27 September 2013 is currently issuing a call for papers.
The XLVI AICA International Congress is organised by AICA Slovakia, on the theme ‘White Places – Black Holes.’ It will be preceded by an optional Pre-Congress Hiking tour in the High Tatra mountains (20 – 22 September), or Pre-Congress Architectural tour (21 – 22 September) and followed by a Post Congress in Krakow, Poland (29 September – 1 October).
The conference will be held mainly in English, though papers may be given in any of AICA’s three languages (English, French, Spanish). Each day there will be two keynote speakers, covering broad aspects of the main theme, followed by short papers and working sessions with the participants.
The AICA Congress Commission invites members, as well as non members, of AICA to submit a short text of 15-20 lines (maximum one page) outlining their proposed approach to the theme of the Congress.
Please submit your application online at www.aica.sk, together with a short biography (max. 200 words) by 30 April 2013.
The Commission is responsible for selecting the speakers: Chair, Marjorie Allthorpe-Guyton (President, AICA UK), Marek Bartelik (International President, AICA), Niilofur Farrukh (President, AICA Pakistan), Henry Meyric Hughes (Honorary President, AICA) and Patrick Schaefer (Member of AICA Switzerland), Iara Boubnova (President AICA Bulgaria), Richard Gregor (Vice-president AICA Slovakia), Vladimír Beskid (Member of AICA Slovakia, director of EHMK Košice 2013) and Juraj Čarný (President AICA Slovakia, Vice President AICA International). Their decision will be final.
Deadline for a final paper, after selection by the AICA Commission, will be 30 June 2013.
