Macedonia at Venice13/05/2013
Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva, a Brighton based artist, has been selected by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia to represent the Republic of Macedonia at the 55th International Art Exhibition – la Biennale di Venezia.
Elpida will present a major new installation work, Silentio Pathologia, at the Scuola dei Laneri, commissioned by National Gallery of Macedonia Director, Halide Paloshi and working with National Gallery curator Ana Frangovska
Gill Hedley, a member of AICA, is working with the artist and curator Mark Segal both on the catalogue and on the subsequent UK tour of the work which has been supported by Arts Council England.
