Contemporary British Painting Reading Group

Contemporary British Painting have launched a monthly reading group, for painters about painting:

“We hold a regular reading group at Westminster Arts Library on the first Thursday of each month between 6pm and 8pm, meeting on the top floor of the Library (which is just behind the National Gallery). We also hold a satellite group covering the same essays at The Minories in Colchester on the first Saturday of each month between 10.30am and 12.30pm in the Ballroom.

Our Reading Group is a friendly and informal gathering, everyone is welcome and you don’t need to have been before. Sessions are led by Painter and CBP founder Robert Priseman. The subjects we choose help us look at ideas around: What makes a successful artist? Why is painting relevant today? And: How do we learn to feel confident in the decisions we make as painters? Tickets are £8 (+ admin) in advance or pay Robert £10 on the day.”
