British Sculpture Abroad – online journal


Members might be in interested in issue no. 3 of the online journal, British Art Studies – Summer 2016 – jointly published by the Paul Mellon Center and the Yale Center for British Art: a special issue devoted to ‘British Sculpture Abroad’, edited, with an introduced by Penelope Curtis and Martina Droth.

There are numerous contributors to this first special issue of the journal, including Henry Meyric Hughes, with an essay entitled: ‘The Promotion and Reception of British Sculpture Abroad, 1948-1960: Herbert Read, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth and the “Young British Sculptors”‘. Meyric Hughes was also commissioning  sub-editor of the first of the five chapters in the publication (1945-60).
