AICA International Board: CALL FOR CANDIDATES

Dear Colleagues,

During our upcoming General Assembly which will take place on Monday 13 November 2017 in Paris (France), we will elect a new President, three Vice-Presidents and ten International Board Members.

The mandates of each post and the procedures to be followed are given in the Statutes, Articles 8, 11, 12 pp.13 and 15 (http://aicainternational.org/en/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/aica-statutes.pdf) and the Regulations, Articles V, VI, pp.7-9 (http://aicainternational.org/en/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/aica-regulations.pdf). THE PRESIDENT

All paid-up Members are eligible to stand for the Presidency, upon nomination by their National Section or by one other Section, in the event of their being unable to secure the nomination of their own Section, or if they belong to the Open Section.

 

Presidents should send applications to the Secretary-General, Marjorie Allthorpe-Guyton, mallthorpeguyton@hotmail.com, with a copy to the chair of the Electoral and Membership Committee Marja-Terttu Kivirinta, mtkivirinta@mac.com, and to the AICA Office, aica.office@gmail.com.

 

Applications should include:

– a letter from the candidate addressed to Marek Bartelik, current President of AICA, setting out the programme which the candidate intends to develop during her/his three-year term of office,

– a curriculum vitæ.

The three-year mandate of the new President begins from the moment of her/his election by the Assembly and runs until the time of fresh elections at the Annual Congress, three years later.

 

The deadline for applications for President is Monday 21 August 2017.

 

 

VICE-PRESIDENTS

Three of the nine posts of Vice-President, with a 3-year mandate, are up for renewal on the usual, annual basis. All paid-up Members are eligible to apply to be elected to one of these posts but may only be re-elected after a period of one year has elapsed since s/he last held the post.

INTERNATIONAL BOARD MEMBERS

Ten International Board Members will also be elected to serve on the Board for a period of one year. The International Board Members are elected annually and may only be re-elected up to three more times, with or without breaks in between. All paid-up Members are eligible to apply to be elected to one of these posts.
