Paul Coldwell has currently two articles that may be of interest to members.
“Jim Dine – Printmaking and the Tools of his Trade.”
Using material from a public conversation with the artist Jim Dine at Chelsea College of Arts, Coldwell examines how tools provide both means and motifs for Dine as a printmaker. The article also focuses on Dine’s recent portfolio, A History of Communism, in which Dine reworked lithographs from an East Berlin academy adding his own iconography of tools and brushes.
