Senior Lecturer in Visual Cultures, Goldsmiths, University of London
Having worked in the museums and gallery sector (Israel Museum, Riverside Gallery, London and Bath Festival Exhibition) and as a free-lance art critic (Art Monthly, Performance, Women's Art Magazine and others), I am now Senior Lecturer in the Visual Cultures Department of Goldsmiths, University of London. My teaching and research focuses on the relation between history, culture and memory, between the act of bearing witness and the act of making art. In this context, I am interested in contemporary international arts practices, as well as in early 20th century German culture. My writing is informed by the insights of diaspora, postcolonial and transcultural studies.
