Aiming to champion and support art criticism in Britain, AICA-UK invites distinguished speakers from different parts of the world to share their thoughts on writing about art. These ticketed annual lectures are held in different venues in London, and are open to the general public. Owing to government recommendations relating to Covid 19, the next annual lecture will take place in 2021. >>
Bar AICA is a series of informal evening discussion events, held in various venues in London, at which members discuss the latest exhibitions they have seen and share their ideas. Dates and details are circulated to members by email. The programme of events is currently suspended following government recommendations but will resume as soon as possible. In the meantime AICA-UK is organising a number of online events.
In addition, AICA-UK has launched a programme to support emerging art writers at formative moments in their careers. Offering two or more non-stipendiary AICA-UK Emerging Art Writers Fellowships each year, the scheme provides successful candidates with mentorship and editorial guidance from distinguished art critics and writers among AICA-UK’s membership. >>
