Gwen Burlington is an Irish writer and editor based in London. Since 2017 she has contributed to digital and print publications, including Visual Artists’ News Sheet, Frieze, Paper Visual Art Journal, Bomb, ArtReview, and Art Monthly. Her focus is primarily on artists about whom very little has already been written. In 2018 she achieved joint 2nd place in the 5th International Awards for Art Criticism (IAAC5). In 2019 she was awarded a writing residency at Jerwood Arts. In 2021 she co-founded the art and literary journal Mirror Lamp Press.
