Gulnaz Can is a London-based freelance journalist, writer and communications specialist, working across TV, newspaper, print and online magazines, while also volunteering in the charity and education sectors.
Gulnaz’s writing has appeared in publications including the Guardian, this is tomorrow, Wall Street International, Ambit, Vogue and Aesthetica. Gulnaz is also the arts editor of the Protagonist Magazine and has written a foreword for the photography book Amy by Ram in 2018. She has published short stories, articles in artist monographs and various exhibition texts.
Gulnaz holds a BA in the Management of Performing Arts from Istanbul Bilgi University, and an MA in Gender, Media and Culture from Goldsmiths, University of London.
In 2016 Gulnaz co-founded the London chapter of an international charity, GlobalGirl Media UK and was its chair of the board of trustees between 2018 and 2021.
