Salena Barry
Writer and critic
Salena Barry is a freelance art critic and writer who has been active since 2021. Originally from Toronto, Canada, she has received her B.A. Art History from the University of Toronto and her M.A. Art & Politics from Goldsmiths College, University of London. Since living in London, she has written for publications including frieze, ArtReview and émergent magazine as well as for institutions including Delfina Foundation and SITE Gallery in Sheffield. In 2022 she was a Jerwood Arts Writer in Residence and in 2021 she was selected as a participant in the inaugural cohort of frieze New Writers. She lives and works in London.
